Ready to SufferFundraise for Cancer!

I'm back at it Again! When I did my first fundraiser in 2007, my motivation was pretty simple and clear. My mentor and friend had passed away and I felt the need to do something. With the help of many generous people, we raised over $6,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In the 10 years since, there have been additional fundraisers. And unfortunately, there have been more people affected by this disease. Many have had successful treatments. Sadly, a few have not. So once again I felt the need to do something. And once again, I'm asking for your help. Here's what's happening.

On 11/16 I'm going to ride my bike, on a stationary trainer for about 10-11 hours. It's a challenge that's part of this cycling community I'm part of called The Sufferfest (hence the title of my fundraiser). Along the way there will be other activities as well. Fun (hopefully) ways for folks to help with my fundraising. And **NEW** this time around, you can choose which organization you'd like to support. So here's how you can help.
  1. Donate. From the list of organizations below. Pick one. Pick All!
  2. Share. Help get more people involved. Tell your friends on social media. Tell your friends at work. Tell strangers at the grocery store (OK maybe not that one. But you get the idea. The more people who know, the more funds we raise!).
  3. Help. With ideas, suggestions, time. Maybe you've got a cool idea for an event. Maybe you can help make this blog look a bit nicer. Maybe you like to make videos and can help make some to support this event. Feel free to share your ideas - all are welcome and appreciated.
So here's where you can choose where to donate.
  • For The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society go HERE
  • For The American Cancer Society go HERE
  • For the Susan G. Komen Foundation go HERE
  • For the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's go HERE
Thanks everyone for your support. It means a great deal to me.
Peace,
Pete
